Kyle Olsen
Kyle Olsen, warden of the Warm Springs Correctional Center, has been in corrections for over 28 years working in various leadership roles. After leaving the Air Force in 1991, Olsen joined the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a correctional officer in California and spent the next 28 years working his way up to associate warden at the Federal Detention Center, Honolulu, Hawaii.

In between, he served as a lieutenant at the Federal Correctional Institution, Sheridan, Ore., from 1995 until 2010. He moved to Pennsylvania in 2010 to become the captain and then unit manager at the Federal Correctional Institution, McKean, Penn. He was then promoted to executive assistant as he returned to the Federal Correctional Institution, Sheridan, Ore. He also served as the Special Operations Response Team Leader for 15 years and is currently certified as an Emergency Support Function #13 Leader, (FEMA), for deployment to national disasters to assist with public safety and law enforcement. Olsen brings a wealth of experience in running a correctional institution and response to institution emergencies.
Kirk Widmar
Associate Warden
Kirk Widmar to Associate Warden at Warm Springs Correctional Center. AW Widmar joined the Nevada Department of Corrections in August of 1999 as a Correctional Officer Trainee at the Lovelock Correctional Center. AW Widmar promoted to Senior Correctional Officer in 2005 and again in 2007 to a Correctional Sergeant at Humboldt Conservation Camp. In 2009 AW Widmar transferred back to Lovelock Correctional Center as a Sergeant and was promoted to Criminal Investigator and joined the Office of the Inspector General in 2010. In 2015 AW Widmar transferred to Lovelock Correctional Center to the position of Correctional Lieutenant.
Over the course of his career AW Widmar has been involved with various aspects of the department. He has served as a Firearms and Defensive Tactics Instructor. He has also enjoyed teaching Basic Instructor Development, Report Writing and Communication Skills. Currently he works closely with the Human Resource division in testing new applicants in the POST Physical Fitness Test and new hire interviews and continues to teach Use of Force in the Department’s academy. AW Widmar has served as a member and a supervisor of the Lovelock Correctional Center Special Response Team and as the Institutional Investigator with a focus on Security Threat Groups, Disruptive Group Management, and STG De-Brief management units.
