Frank Dreesen is the Associate Warden of Programs at Florence McClure Women's Correctional Center.
Frank Dreesen began his corrections career,
spanning nearly 50 years, as a C/O at the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Department on
December 15, 1975. After eight (8) years
and attaining the rank of Sergeant he entered the relatively new field of
Community Corrections in Colorado, housing both Transitional (parolee) and
Diversionary (probationary) residents.
After several years, and two facilities later, he began his own
Community Corrections agency with a capital partner. After leaving the partnership, he contracted
with the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) providing transportation and
monitoring services of adult prisoners from several CDOC institutions
throughout the southern Colorado region.
AWP Frank Dreesen worked within the Colorado and Corrections Corporation
of America (CCA) Correctional systems until his relocation to Las Vegas, NV in
January 2000. Since then, he has worked
as Correctional Casework Specialist (CCS) II at Florence McClure Women’s
Correctional Center (FMWCC) and CCSIII at Southern Nevada Correctional Center
(SNCC) at Jean, Nevada. In October 2007,
Dreesen was promoted to the level of Associate Warden of Programs (AWP) at
FMWCC. Since his 2007 promotion to
Associate Warden at FMWCC and to date, Dreesen has served in the capacity of
AWP, Associate Warden of Operations (AWO) and acting warden at FMWCC, Southern
